Rotary Duck Race & Family Fun Day ~ Saturday, 30th March
Head to the Eastern Foreshore for a day of fun family activities, market stalls, music & entertainment and of course the famous Rotary Duck Race, which takes place mid-afternoon.

Easter Extravaganza at Caraholly Orchard ~ Saturday 30th March
Caraholly Orchard (Dwellingup) are hosting a day full of Easter themed fun for the family. There’ll be egg hunts, animal petting farm, fruit picking, market stalls, food trucks and more.

King Carnival Giant Easter Egg Hunt ~ Sunday 31st March
Enjoy all the fun of the fair with WA’s biggest Easter egg hunt ~ there’s thousands of eggs to be won, unlimited rides and mini golf, baby farm animals, face painting, balloon twisting, games with prizes and live entertainment.

Check out the fun family spaces on the Western Foreshore, including Mandurah’s new Playscape Adventure Park, the Koolaanga Waabiny Playground. Located right on the waterfront, it features swings, slides, monkey bars and even a 12-metre high-climbing lookout tower. There’s an awesome skatepark connected too, with three different zones, suitable for all levels from beginners to pros. Have a game of Disc Golf at the adjacent Hall Park ~ a FREE nine-basket fun course that sure to be a hit with the whole family.

Two other playgrounds that are a must-visit in Mandurah these holidays, are Quarry Park in Meadow Springs and Harbour Playground in Secret Harbour. They are huge, modern playgrounds that will keep the kids busy for hours!

Adventurescape in South Yunderup ~ only 20 minutes from Mandurah, will keep the kids occupied for hours too. This farm themed playground features a 35m flying fox, giant pig cubby house, 9m tall climbing windmill tower and slide, fence maze, swings, fibreglass animal sculptures and more.

5. new-release family movies

Watch one of the new-release family school holiday movies at Reading Cinemas Mandurah. Three great new titles are Kung Fu Panda 4, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

6. flip out fun

Hold your breath for some gravity-defying fun at Flip Out Mandurah. Kids (and kids at heart) will be bouncing, back-flipping, cannon-balling into foam pits, and much more. As well as a main trampoline arena, Flip Out is equipped with a massive parkour arena, ninja warrior course and battle beam zone.

7. free library activities

Head to Mandurah, Falcon or Lakelands Library for a great program of FREE and low cost school holiday activities. Kids can create their own joke book and learn how to draw a superhero with a Disney Studios cartoonist ~ Mark Guthrie, let their imagination run wild making 3D wooden animals, collage creating, sewing and other crafty workshops, or cook up a storm at the Junior Kitchen Workshop.

8. indoor rock climbing

Let the kids literally climb the walls at Mandurah Indoor Rock Climbing. It’s suitable for all ages with no experience necessary and is a great challenge and confidence builder. They also offer trapeze classes, ninja classes and outdoor adventure camps.

There’s plenty happening at the Mandurah Aquatic & Recreation Centre these holidays. Kids get your skates on for the Roller Disco on Tuesday 12th April, or burn off some energy with Zumba classes, archery skirmish, bubble soccer and more!


All aboard the Mandurah Tourist Fun Train Company. Choose from the “Mini Toot” that runs along Mandurah’s Eastern Foreshore or the “Big Toot”, which stops at 10 designated Stations around the City (from the Eastern Foreshore to the Mandurah Ocean Marina). You can hop on and off all day!

11. E-Bike or Scooter ride

Explore and be active with the kids on a bike ride. There’s excellent cycle paths in the city centre or venture along the coast and you may even spot one of the Giants of Mandurah. You can hire an E-Bike or E-Scooter from The Bike Kiosk from as little as $15. It is conveniently located next to the Mandurah Visitor Centre, directly opposite Mandurah Cruises.

12. catch A CRAB

It’s the best time of year to try your hand at catching a blue swimmer crab! Pop in and see Mandurah’s friendly local fishing experts at Tackle Word Miami to get a scoop net and gauge, then walk in the shallows of the Peel Inlet or Harvey Estuary spotting, scooping and measuring crabs. Some of the locals favourite spots for scooping are Coodanup, Novara or Dawesville Foreshores. Don’t forget your booties (or old shoes) to protect your toes and bucket to put the crabs in. If you prefer to stay dry, then dropping crab net/s with bait off a public jetty in Mandurah is the best option for you.

And if you don’t catch anything, there’s always WA’s No.1 fish & chips at Cicerello’s, conveniently located on the Mandurah Eastern Foreshore for lunch and dinner.

Bounce on in to Inflatable World Mandurah. It’s one of the biggest Indoor Inflatable Playgrounds in Australia and is all about having fun. Warning ~ the kids won’t want to leave!

Mandurah has some of the latest and greatest BMX pump tracks. So, if the kids are after a bit of adventure on their bikes, check out the Mandurah BMX Track, McLennan Park (Madora Bay) Pump Track, Falcon Skate Park and pump track, and Lavender Gardens Reserve (Halls Head) pump track. They are all FREE to race around on and open every day.

Get muddy making imaginative lolly jars, in a 2-hour family pottery workshop with Two Muddy Men ~ 5th & 12th April. Then visit the Whizz Pop Candy Shop on the Mandurah Foreshore, with lollies of all sorts to fill your lolly jar.


Enjoy a unique, hands-on experience at Ranger Red’s Zoo, with animals you can feed and touch. Hand-feed kangaroos, sheep, deer, goats and emus. Hold a snake, koala and wombat.
